Do you want to help with this year’s Kōkako census at Boundary Stream?

DOC are looking for people. It would require:

• That you know how to use a GPS and compass and have some experience in navigating in the bush (off track) using these tools.
• That you are fit, as you will have to follow birds up hill and down dale through thick bush.
• That you can commit to staying up at Boundary Stream base for 1-4 nights (depending on your situation) to start on site at dawn when the manu are singing. We normally finish around 12pmish.
• That you would be able to attend the training – to be confirmed when this is.
