For generations, our Hapū have sought redress for the many breaches of Te Tiriti o Waitangai (the Treaty of Waitangi) by the Crown. You can read about the history of our claims.

Our Hapū and the Crown signed an Agreement in Principle at Parliament in 2011, and the Deed of Settlement at Tangoio Marae in 2013. Our Settlement Bill went through Parliament in 2014.
