As part of the Cultural Redress in our Treaty Settlement, four Reserves were returned to our Hapū. We then gifted these reserves back to the people of Aotearoa, NZ. To see more, click on the links below:

To commemorate this gift we ran events and activities from Saturday 14 January 2017 to Wednesday 18 January 2017.

Saturday 14th Jan

10am Pōwhiri and Transfer of Reserves to our Hapū, Tangoio Marae

1pm Haerenga to Whakaari for karakia and kōrero

3:30pm Haerenga to Lake Tūtira for kōrero

5:30pm Camping at Opouahi

6:30pm Ngā Uri o Pania concert

Sunday 15th Jan

Whakamoemiti at Opouahi camp

9am Kākā Feeding

11am Lake Opouahi – karakia and kōrero, kiwi chick experience

1:30pm Boundary Stream & Bellbird Bush – karakia and kōrero, hīkoi

Monday 16th Jan

9am Kākā feeding

9:30am Visit to tītī/seabird site

12pm – 2:30pm Haerenga to Shine Falls – hīkoi, kaukau (swim)

9am Taiao Wānanaga – update on MTT mahi and opportunity to provide your whakaaro (thoughts, ideas)
