Pereri and Marewa King are running a series of wānanga focussing on the traditional waiata “Tirotiro Kau Au”. The wānanga will investigate the history and application of the waiata. This is also a good opportunity to learn the elements of kapa haka ā korero, ā tinana, ā whakapono.

Commitment: 4 Wānanga, 1 Kaupapa
- Certificate in Traditional Waiata (Level 2) through EIT
- 4 weekend wānanga: 7pm Friday – Sunday 2-4 Dec, January dates to be confirmed
- Students will also be asked to do some learning in-between wānanga
- Held at Tangoio Marae
- Birth certificate or passport required for registration
