Advice from experts
Our whānau are of course experts at caring for our taonga. We have Uncle Joe and Uncle Bevan Taylor’s leadership – they were the master carvers of our Whare Tipuna. Thursday Puna is leading the recovery and restoration of the tukutuku. Thursday was one of the original weavers.
We have also received specialist advice from experts at Pouhere Taonga (Heritage NZ) and Te Papa Tongarewa, pictured below:
