Whānau are invited to support the working bee at Arapawanui.

There are some important things to be aware of:
Transport:
- 4×4 highly recommended
- please car pool from Tangoio as there will be limited vehicle access
- be prepared to walk a distance
Route:
Please note that parts of SH2 are closed so you must use Tangoio Settlement Rd instead.
- From Napier, travel north along SH2. There is a road closure sign but if you tell the people there what you are doing they will let you through.
- Just before Tangoio Marae, turn right into Tangoio Settlement Rd (as if you are going to Waipātiki).
- Turn left after the bridge and follow the road.
- At the turn-off to Waipātiki rd go left instead and follow Tangoio Settlement Rd which will take you to SH2.
- Turn first right into Aropaoanui Rd.
Health & Safety:
- be aware of similar risks & hazards as at Tangoio: contaminated silt, heavy machinery, forestry slash, unstable hillsides
- proper safety footwear is a must
Please bring:
- PPE (personal protective equipment) such as masks, glasses, rubber gloves, preferably steel-capped boots, long sleeves
- First Aid kits
- hand sanitiser
- your own water to drink (lunch will be provided)
- shovels & wheelbarrows
