Pūtea Manaaki Emergency Relief Fund

Purpose of this fund

The purpose of the Pūtea Manaaki Emergency Relief Fund is to provide assistance to whānau members registered with Maungaharuru-Tangitū Charitable Trust who have experienced significant loss to their homes and or belongings due to Cyclone Gabrielle.

Applications are now open and close 5pm, Monday 3 April 2023. The closure date may be reviewed dependent on funding availability and level of demand for support.

Criteria for Pūtea Manaaki Emergency Relief Funding

  • Applicants must be registered with Maungaharuru-Tangitū Charitable Trust
  • Only one application per household will be accepted
  • Only applications received using this form or via this link: https://tangoio.maori.nz/putea-manaaki-emergency-relief-fund/ will be processed
  • Proof of Identity (e.g. Drivers Licence, Passport, Community Services Card) must be provided with all applications
  • Proof of residential address (e.g. copy of power, phone account, bank statement) must be provided with all applications
  • Proof of bank account details (e.g. deposit slip, bank statement) in the name of the applicant must be provided with all applications
  • Applicants must provide a brief explanation of how they and their whānau have been directly impacted by the emergency event e.g.
    • Your primary family home and or personal belongings have been damaged due to Cyclone Gabrielle
    • You were evacuated from your home

Important

A decision on the grants will be determined after the application closing date, once all applications have been reviewed. We will aim to come back to you as quickly as possible. The Pūtea Manaaki Emergency Relief Fund is available at the sole discretion of Maungaharuru- Tangitū Charitable Trust.
