On 2 August, Piki Te Ora shared kōrero at the Taonga Symposium – Auaka Tumutumu Te Kura I Awarua.

Uncle Bevan Taylor, Uncle Joe Taylor, Elaine Cook and Thursday Puna presented about the damaged done to our taonga and the restoration efforts.

Feedback was that the symposium was really good, and they enjoyed sharing experiences. Uncle Joe mentioned that most of the audience were taken aback at the damage done to our taonga and the way we’ve dealt with it.
